About

Kyndal Gehlbach is a seasoned musician from Baltimore, Maryland, whose sound is shaped by her diverse musical journey. Beginning her musical path on the violin at just eight years old, Kyndal is also a self-taught guitarist and vocalist, blending her classical roots with her passion for folk, blues, and indie styles.

Her original music is deeply personal, drawing inspiration from her upbringing, her profound connection to nature through her work as an environmental scientist, and the small, often overlooked moments she notices in the world around her. Over the past 15 years, Kyndal has performed her original songs and put her unique spin on covers at venues across Maryland and surrounding states.

Kyndal is a standout solo artist, having played at venues such as the Metro Gallery, but she is also a contributor to the band Whiskey Feathers, adding violin and background vocals to their sound. Her work with Whiskey Feathers can be heard on their full-length album Stardust a Garden, and their songs have been featured on Baltimore’s 89.7 WTMD radio. In June 2023, Kyndal performed with Whiskey Feathers, opening for WTMD’s First Thursday Festival, performing in front of a crowd of over 12,000 people.

With her ability to captivate audiences both as a solo artist and as a contributor to a dynamic band, Kyndal continues to share her music and make an impact wherever she performs.
